The Naked Convos has opened for submissions for the fourth season of The Writer. The Writer Competition is an online ‘reality’ writing contest created by TheNakedConvos. Entries will be collected and the best announced to work with mentors to improve their writing craft. When the competition proper starts, writers will be given a theme to write flash stories on. And the public will be invited to read, judge and consequently evict three contestants. Sounds interesting right?

Who is Eligible?

All Africans who love to write. Irrespective of your age, nationality or country of residence. All writerly African citizens are encouraged to send in pre-qualification entries to be considered.

So you are eligible, think you can write, and win the prize money? Here’s how you can apply.

Write a short story not more than 300 words long. It can be less as long as the story works. Ensure that your short story is sent as an attachment in Microsoft Word format. You are free to write on any theme, using any style or voice. Ensure that you’re creative to increase your chances of qualifying.

Email all entries to thewriter@thenakedconvos.com on or before 12:00 Midnight, West Africa Time March 31, 2016. The competition itself will run for 4 weeks in May 2016. 

Do not send poetry or opinion pieces as they will not be considered.
