The Shore Poetry Submissions is Currently Open for Issue Seventeen: Spring 2023 (Payment: Publication)

The Shore Poetry Submissions for their 17th issue are currently open for poems of all forms.

The Shore is an online poetry publication seeking cutting, strange, and daring work from new and established poets alike. They want poems that explore the worlds of things and ideas, that recognize the liminality, the shifting of everything around us and our ability to name a thing whole. They want poems that press and push and ache and recede. Hence, they request that you send them your best.

The Shore Poetry publish four times a year, once each season. The current season open for reading is Spring 2023.

 

Submission Guidelines for The Shore Poetry Submissions

 

Only Poetry entries are allowed, however, contributors are accepted from all over the world.

No submission fee is required.

Submissions are done through mail in this format:

  • You are required to email 3-5 poems in a single document in .doc or .docx format to theshorepoetry@gmail.com
  • The subject title should be: “Last Name_First Name THE SHORE submission”.
  • Additionally, you are requested to submit a cover letter and third-person bio included in the body of the email.

Do note that any submissions that do not follow these guidelines will be discarded.

The Shore Poetry also accepts simultaneous submissions as long as you notify them if the piece is accepted elsewhere.  However, reprints are not accepted.

 Poets are requested to only submit once per reading period. Former accepted contributors would need to wait a year from their date of publication to submit again.

 

Payment for The Shore Poetry Submissions

There is no monetary payment, however your submission, if accepted, will be published on the front page of their website in the submitted issue.
