The NLNG-Sponsored Nigeria Prize for Literature 2019—How To Apply (Prize- $100,000)

Have you written and published a children’s book within the last four years? Then you could win $100,000 in the ongoing search for the best Children’s Literature written by a Nigerian writer.

The judges will also review entries on works in literary criticism of Nigerian Literature. They are especially keen on reading critical essays on new writings in Nigerian Literature.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must possess a Nigerian citizenship ((photocopy of Nigerian passport or National Identity card), may be submitted either by author or publisher).
  • Only Children’s Literature published after the 15th of January, 2015 will be accepted.
  • For the literary criticism award, please send critical essays or other forms of literary criticism.

Submissions Guidelines:

  • Authors are allowed to submit only one entry.
  • Entries must include complete contact information, including full contact address, e-mail(s), phone number(s) and other relevant contact information.
  • Submissions must reach the organizers before the 5th April, 2019 deadline
