The Loveliest Fellowship 2025 | How to Apply
The Loveliest Review invites artists and writers across disciplines to apply for the 2025 Loveliest Fellowship, a bi-annual award offering $1,000 and digital publication. Each fellowship centers on a theme—this year’s focus is Justice.
The fellowship provides both recognition and tangible support for creative work that engages with social, political, or personal dimensions of justice. Applications open on February 1st and close on April 1st.
Eligibility Requirements for the Loveliest Fellowship
The Loveliest Fellowship welcomes submissions from creators working in any of the journal’s seven genres:
- Fiction
- Nonfiction
- Poetry
- Drama
- Photography
- Art
- Reviews
Only one winner will be selected per cycle, regardless of genre. Artists and writers at any career stage may apply.
Requirements for the Loveliest Fellowship
Applicants must submit the following materials as .doc or .docx attachments via email to theloveliestreview@gmail.com with the subject line:
“(Applicant Name) The Loveliest Fellowship Application”
Required Materials:
- Work Sample:
- 5–25 pages of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, or reviews
- OR 5–25 examples of photography or visual art

- Artist Statement (1–3 pages):
- Discuss how your work engages with the 2025 theme of Justice
- Share your artistic goals and how the fellowship would support your growth
- Artist Résumé
- Brief Cover Letter
