The Lit Quarterly/ How to Submit (Payment: $100 + more)

The Lit Quarterly is a literary magazine based in Canada that is home to new and emerging voices. The magazine currently seeks submissions of poetry, short fiction, and nonfiction for its summer 2020 issue. The Lit Quarterly pays as much as $100 CAD per accepted piece. The deadline for submissions is May 31st, 2020. 

Eligibility: 

  • Writers from anywhere in the world can submit.
  • There is no submission fee.

How to Submit:

  • Submit a short story of between 1000 and 5000 words.
  • Or an essay of between 1500 and 5000 words.
  • Or a packet of four poems.
  • All submissions must be original and previously unpublished.
  • Submit here.
  • The deadline for submissions is May 31st, 2020.

Payment:

  • The Lit Quarterly pays $100 per accepted piece.
  • Contributors will receive a copy of the issue their work appears in.
