The Bitter Oleander Press is Now Accepting Submissions/ How to Submit (Payment: Contributor’s Copy)

Established in 1974, the Bitter Oleander Press publishes “works whose imaginations open our eyes to a world we thought we knew but were mistaken.” The magazine is published bi-annually, and each brings together the works of well-known and little-known poets. All submissions are responded to within 30 days after the submission was made.

Who is Eligible to Submit:

  • Anyone from anywhere in the world.

How to Submit:

  • Submit a pack of 8 poems, either in English or in translation (which must be accompanied by their originals).
  • Or a short fiction piece of no longer than 2500 words.
  • All submissions will be responded within 30 days after the submission was made.
  • Submit here.

Payment:

  • A copy of the issue of the magazine in which your work appears.
