The 2025-26 New York Times Fellowship/ How to Apply
The New York Times is now accepting applications for its 2025-26 Fellowship Program, a yearlong work opportunity aimed at cultivating the next generation of journalists. This program offers a unique chance to work with some of the world’s best editors and reporters, gain access to training and resources, and contribute to The Times’s mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.
Eligibility For The 2025-26 New York Times Fellowship
To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must:
- Have no more than five years of full-time, professional journalism experience (excluding internships)
- Demonstrate clear prose, evocative writing, and original and impactful reporting
- Be authorized to work in the United States (no work visa sponsorship available)

- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
