SENTINEL NIGERIA/JUDE DIBIA FICTION REVIEW COMPETITION 2011

Jude Dibia recently judged the Sentinel Literary Quarterly Short Story Competition (April 2011), the results will be announced by April 30th, 2011. <!–[if gte mso 9]> Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

However, Jude Dibia has given up his judges fees. He insists that the fees should be used for the promotion of literature. For this reason, Sentinel Nigeria has decided to hold a book review competition in 2011 and 2012. The competition has been titled, Sentinel Nigeria/Jude Dibia Fiction Review Competition.

Interested writers are expected to:

1. Buy any novel written by a Nigerian and published between June 1, 2010 and May 31st 2011

2. Read the book and write a critical review not less than 1,000 words but not more than 1,500 words.

3. Submit the review to sentinel@sentinelpoetry.org.uk. Ensure that the subject title of the e-mail is ‘SENTINEL NIGERIA/JUDE DIBIA FICTION REVIEW COMPETITION 2011’

Deadline for submissions is 30th September, 2011.

Nze Sylva Ifedigbo, Sentinel Nigeria’s Features & Reviews Editor, will judge the reviews.

The best six reviews shall be shortlisted and published in the November 2011 issue of Sentinel Nigeria.

Cash prizes and certificates of achievement shall be awarded to the writers of the best three reviews.
