POCIT Is Accepting Pitches/ How To Submit (Pay: $100)
Would you like to write for POCIT?— They have a simple objective: to highlight the stories and thoughts of POC within the sphere of technology and startups, and to inspire the next generation.
They feature interviews, articles, and thought pieces every week across the industry. If you are having a problem with your writing, please read this article: How to Overcome Writer’s Block (10 Tips + Personal Examples)
General Pitch Guidelines For POCIT
- Before you pitch to them, please Google your idea to make sure it is completely original and not something they’ve covered on the site.
- Your pitch should be around 2-4 paragraphs and include examples of your work, such as links to a personal blog post.
- If you haven’t published before, that’s okay—they’re keen to work with new writers.
- Keep in mind: who or what you would like to cover; why POCIT readers will care about your piece now; how you will go about gaining access to the individuals in your story (if relevant); what makes you the right person to take it on.
- Please do not start writing your original piece before they have commissioned it.
