The Matador Review is currently accepting work for our second issue, the Fall 2016 publication. The call for submissions will end on August 31.

The Matador Review is an online literature and art quarterly based in Chicago, Illinois. We publish poetry, fiction, flash fiction, creative non-fiction, and visual art.

Matador Review is an “alternative” magazine; that is to say: their purpose is to promote work that is thought-provoking and unconventional; they want the controversial and the radical, the unhinged and the bizarre; they want the obsessive, the compulsive, the pervasive, the combative, and the seductive. They believe that every work of quality art has a home where it belongs, and for the “alternative”, The Matador Review is a home.
