Story Making West Africa Workshop—Apply

To ensure the creation of children stories in indigenous languages, British Council, has collaborated with the African Storybook initiative to pilot an initiative.  This project aims to promote the arts, education and mother-tongue based multilingual education in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is an amazing opportunity for writers and illustrators to contribute to the production of these storybook at any African Storybook reading level.

Writers and illustrators are therefore invited to participate in a 5-day residential workshop in Abuja, 12 to 16 March 2018, for the production of these storybooks. This workshop is open to residents of Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone and Senegal; facilitated by trainers from the African Storybook initiative and is fully funded by the British Council.

Interested parties are advised to apply early as application to attend the workshop ends midnight, 21 February 2018.
