ONE WORLD TWO A SECOND GLOBAL ANTHOLOGY OF SHORT STORIES
Believe me, you have to read the second project of the One World series. Published by the New Internationalist, this anthology of globe-trotting short stories is drawn from the works of the best international writers in the world. Most of these literary giants featured in this anthology are renowned for their originality and uniqueness.
According to the press release: “One World Two is even more ambitious than Volume One in its geographic scope, featuring 21 writers drawn from every continent. Most of the stories are unique to this volume, while others are appearing for the first time in English (as in the case of the contributions from Egypt’s Mansoura Ez-Eldin and Brazil’s Vanessa Barbara).
There is a loose theme of bridges between people and cultures but the themes and writing styles are as richly diverse as their writers’ origins.
With a foreword by Elleke Boehmer, Professor of World Literature in English, Oxford the anthology features some authors who have won major international awards, including most recently Viet Thanh Nguyen, winner of the latest Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.“
