Commonwealth Foundation Grants/ How To Apply (Up to $30,000)
The Commonwealth Foundation is now accepting applications for its annual grants call, supporting civil society organizations in Commonwealth
member states. The grants aim to facilitate constructive engagement between civil society and decision-makers, promoting participatory commy governance and advocacy. Eligible organizations can receive up to £30,000 for projects lasting up to two years.
Eligibility For The Commonwealth Foundation Grants
To be eligible, applicant organizations must:
- Be not-for-profit civil society organizations registered in an eligible Commonwealth Foundation member country
- Have at least three years of experience in participatory governance and advocacy
- Propose projects addressing one or more of the Foundation’s priority themes: Health, Justice, and Freedom of Expression or Climate Justice
- Demonstrate integration of gender considerations in project design and implementation
Requirements for The Commonwealth Foundation Grants
Successful applicants must:
- Submit a clear project proposal addressing a specific problem
- Demonstrate a persuasive approach to solving the problem
- Provide evidence of consultation with project beneficiaries
- Show capacity to undertake and complete the project within the stipulated time
- Commit to gender equality
