Lit Fox Books, a woman-owned nonprofit press based in Austin, Texas, is inviting poets to apply for a five-day poetry residency this summer. Designed as a supportive and vibrant space for creative exploration, this residency gives poets the time, space, and editorial support to dive into their work in one of Austin’s most beloved neighborhoods.
Residency Details
- Dates: July 7–11, 2025
- Location: Austin, TX – a cozy two-bedroom house within walking distance of Lady Bird Lake and great local restaurants
- Guests Welcome: Bring up to two guests for the full duration
- Submission & Attendance Fee: None!
- Stipend: $200 food stipend
- Includes:
- Editorial feedback on your poetry
- An interview feature with Lit Fox Books
- A free copy of an upcoming Lit Fox Books release
Please note: Lit Fox Books does not cover travel expenses.

- A brief biographical statement, including a bit about yourself and your current poetry manuscript or project
- A sample of 6–10 poems (accepted file types: .doc, .docx, .pdf, .rtf, .txt, and more)
