Dzanc Books Diverse Voices Prize/ How to Submit (Prize: $3000 + more)

Dzanc Books Diverse Voices Prize is a new literary prize from Dzanc Books, to be awarded to a writer of a full-length manuscript. The prize is open to writers from minority, underrepresented, or marginalized communities. The winner of the prize will receive a $3,000 advance payment and the winning manuscript will be published by Dzanc Books.

According to their blog, they want “brilliant, daring, and imaginative book-length manuscripts of fiction or nonfiction”. The manuscript could be in any form. Short story collections, novels, memoirs, and cross-genre works will be considered.

Submission closes by September 30, 2020.

Who is Eligible to Submit to Dzanc Books Diverse Voices Prize:

  • The prize is open to writers from minority, underrepresented, or marginalized communities.
  • The submission is open to both new and established writers.
  • There is no submission fee.

How to Submit to Dzanc Books Diverse Voices Prize:

  • Submit a complete, original full-length manuscript. It could be a story collection, novel, memoir, or a cross-genre work.
  • Include a brief synopsis of the manuscript on the submission form.
  • Include a brief cover letter and a short bio.

  • The deadline for submissions is September 30, 2020.
  • The winner and finalists will be announced by January 2021.
