Thika Book Fair to Start on January 31, 2025
The Inaugural Thika Book Fair will start on January 31, 2025, at the Ananas Mall, Thika, Kenya.
The Thika Book Fair, supported by Solano Publications Ltd, a Kenyan publisher, will run for three days–the 31st of January 2025 to the 2nd of February 2025.
According to the official website, the book fair is intended to bridge the gap of geographical limitations that often occur with book fairs in Kenya.
❝Our mission is to create for every city in Kenya a Book Fair showcasing books and other related materials relevant to its geographical location. We are therefore planning Book Fairs for Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret and Meru.❞

Book publishers, primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities, and other education-related entities to exhibit and attend the event.
The Thika Book Fair will be a free event with various activities, such as:
- Book launches, to celebrate new book releases and allow readers and authors to connect.
- Workshops, including one held by Adipo Sidang, author of Parliament of Owls.
- Finally, there will be family entertainment with games, entertainment, and delicious food for families and school groups.
