The Jack Hazard Fellowship Program is a unique opportunity for high school teachers who are also writers of fiction, creative nonfiction, or memoir. The program provides a $5,000 award to enable these creative writers to focus on their writing for a summer.

 

Eligibility

 

To be eligible for the Jack Hazard Fellowship Program, applicants must:

 

– Be a full-time high school teacher in an accredited school in the United States

– Have taught for at least three years

– Be a writer of fiction, creative nonfiction, or memoir

– Commit to concentrating on their writing during the summer

– Intend to return to full-time teaching in the fall

 

Requirements for the Jack Hazard Fellowship Program 

 

To apply, applicants must submit:

 

– A completed application form

– A brief biography (250 words)

– A CV with relevant details

– A description of the proposed writing project (250 words)

– A writing sample (up to 5,000 words)

– Contact information for the school principal or head of school
