South Africans and Nigerians Dominate 2019 Writivism Prizes Shortlist

At long last, the judges have announced the shortlists of the 2019 Writivism Short Story Prize and the Koffi Addo Prize for Creative Nonfiction.
Each of the shortlists has 3 stories. For the first time in the history of the prize, one writer, Frances Ogamba, made both shortlists.
According to the press release,
The stories speak to the brilliance of the emerging talent on the continent.

The judging panel of the Koffi Addo Prize for Creative Nonfiction is chaired by Ghanaian writer Ayesha Haruna Attah and the Writivism Short Story Prize judging panel is chaired by Ugandan writer Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi.

3. The Valley of Memories by Frances Ogamba
