The Singing Bullet Poetry Workshop Scholarship —Apply (Awards: Worth $200)

))Award winning American-Nigerian poet, Itiola Jones, will be facilitating the third edition of her online workshop, “The Singing Bullet” which she started because she “sought to create a space of nurture, but one of rigor, in which participants rise to the challenge they set for themselves at the start of April.” To celebrate the third anniversary of the workshop, Itiola Jones would be giving out a scholarship to two promising writers and alleviate the full cost of the workshop ($200 USD). This is in line with her belief that “financial need should never impede on an education.” The workshop is set to run for the 30 days of the month of April, which is the “National Poetry Month.” Participants will be expected to write a new poem for each of the 30 days. The workshop would be highly intensive and participants are expected to leave with a substantial body of work and new found understanding of their capabilities.
