QUANTUM SHORTS Short Film Festival Contest—Apply (Prizes: $5,900)

Scriptwriters and film makers all over the world are invited to send their entries to the Quantum Shorts Short Film Festival Contest. They want films that are not more than 5 minutes long. All films must reflect the theme of quantum physics. When writing your scripts for the movie, ensure that the plot is inspired by some aspect of quantum physics. You can get unique story ideas from this list.

If you are 13 years old and over, then you are  eligible to apply  No entry fee is required. Deadline: December 1, 2018 (at 23:59 GMT)
How to Enter.

To enter, go to shorts.quantumlah.org (“Site”) on or before the December 1st, 2018 deadline.

Don;t forget to, read the Official Rules, and then: create an account on the website filmfreeway.com

Step 3: upload your film there and submit to the Quantum Shorts festival through its listing at https://filmfreeway.com/festival/quantumshorts.

All submissions must be made online.

Shortlisted entrants will be notified by the end of January 2019.

Winners will be announced on 1st June 2019.

Prizes and Awards:
1. Up to ten (10) shortlisted films will be selected and rewarded to receive:

  • A $250 screening fee
  • A one-year digital subscription to Scientific American
  • A personalised certificate
  • International screenings

The Top Three Winners will receive:
1. First prize: $1500 and an engraved trophy
2. Runner up: $1000 and an engraved trophy

3. People’s Choice: U$500 and an engraved trophy
