The Short Story Competition

The Short Story competition is now open. Interested writers can send submissions. Deadline for submissions is September 15th 2012.
Awards/Prizes: First prize: £300; Second prize: £150; Third prize: £50
You are advised to read the guidelines carefully to avoid disqualification.
 Stories must be original and previously unpublished. Word count must be between 1,000-5,000 words. Entries should be sent as Word doc or pdf attachments to submit.theshortstory@gmail.com.
Preferable font size: 12 point; font type: Times New Roman or Arial. No fancy fonts please. Poetry, novel chapters, sci-fi, fantasy and stories for children are not allowed.
Remember to put your name, email address and telephone number at the footer of each page. Page numbers are very important. Make sure each page is properly numbered.
Each person is allowed to submit only one story. Simultaneous submissions are not allowed..
The competition is only open to people over the age of 18.
