Pigeon Pages Announces Prize For Writing — Apply

Pigeon Pages is a literary journal where emerging and established writers from all backgrounds are encouraged to nest together. It publishes prose online, and Pigeon Pages NYC showcases local writers monthly at PowerHouse Arena in Brooklyn.
They believe that, “writing should come from a place of joy and creativity, not a desire to preen.” The Prize would be judged by Alexander Chee, bestselling author of ‘How to Write an Autobiographical Novel,’ ‘The Queen of the Night,’ and ‘Edinburgh’
Prizes:
The winning author will receive $250 and publication in Pigeon Pages.
Two honorable mentions will receive $50 and publication in Pigeon Pages.
All submissions will be considered for publication.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
• The contest is open to prose submissions between June 1st – August 1st.
• Previously unpublished fiction and nonfiction pieces of 850 words or less are eligible for this contest.
• Simultaneous submissions are welcome but please let notify them ASAP if the submitted piece is accepted elsewhere.
• Please do not include personal information on your piece, as submissions will be read blind.
• All winners must be over 18 years old and reside in the U.S. in order to claim their cash prize.
Submission Fee:
An entry fee of $7 dollars is required per submission.
An entry fee of $15 is required for three submissions.
