Call For Submissions/ Ake Arts And Book Festival

  • In anticipation of its 2016 edition, the Ake Arts and Book Festival is delighted to announce a call for entries for Ake Review, our annual journal. The theme for Ake Arts and Book Festival isBENEATH THIS SKIN. Centered on issues around identity, race and individuality, we desire work that engages these subjects.Submissions:
  • Poetry – a maximum of three poems
  • Prose – a maximum of 1600 words
  • Artworks/Photographs – a maximum of 2 works in high-res jpeg

Please include a bio of no longer than 70 words

 Guidelines:
All entries must be submitted via email to editor@akefestival.org as attachments with ‘AR Submission’ in the subject line.Entries must be original and unpublishedOnly one submission per personDeadline for entries is Monday 29 August 2016All accepted submissions will be published on www.akereview.org after #AkeFest16Successful creatives will receive 2 copies of Ake Review.
