Noisy Streetss Magazine is Calling for Submissions (Payment: $40)

Noisy Streetss Magzine is currently seeking submissions from writers of opinion articles, culture articles, fiction and non-fiction. 

Noisy Streetss began as a medium for sharing diverse interests in film and art, popular culture, legal, political and philosophical discussions and lifestyle news. As a digital magazine, Noisy Streetss intends to publish opinion articles on culture & world politics, general commentary, entertainment reviews, including book and film recommendations, visual stories, and fiction and non-fiction stories. The Magazine’s themes focus on the intersection between something and the other. The Noisy Streetss voice aims to educate through an approach that thinks about one thing and its relation to another. It aims to raise awareness of diverse voices and opinions on world issues, human stories, beliefs, ideologies, and other world aspects.

How to submit to Noisy Streetss Magazine

  • Submissions are open to Africans of all nationalities.
  • Submissions should be sent to submissions@noisystreetss.com
  • Style Guide- the Noisy Streetss voice: The Noisy Streetss voice aims to educate through an approach that thinks about one thing and its relation to another. It aims to raise awareness of diverse voices and opinions on world issues, human stories, beliefs, ideologies, and other world aspects. Submitted articles must reflect the Noisy Streetss voice, which tells the story of the intersection of two or more elements and how they relate with each other.

 
Preferred format: The article should be written in English, and verbs must be consistent throughout. Writers should capitalise all proper nouns. Writers must ensure that facts stated in the writing are accurate.  Also,  published articles used for reference should be cited- there is no need for a bibliography.  Therefore, you must ensure your writing is properly edited

General Guidelines for Noisy Streetss Magazine Submissions

  • Word Count:

General opinion articles must have a minimum word count of 1200 words and a maximum of 2500 words. Short-fiction stories and non-fiction stories must be a minimum of 1,500 words and a maximum of 3,000 words.

  • Reviews:

A review is a thorough description, critical analysis, or evaluation of the quality, meaning and significance of a particular topic, book, film, or music. In writing reviews, writers must incorporate the Noisy Streetss voice and other guidelines.

  • Visual Stories:

Digital illustrative stories and photography stories are welcome at Noisy Streetss. These digital or photo series can be related to the upcoming theme or independent of it. Must be uploaded in a pdf or word document.

  • Opinion articles:

Opinion articles are written based on the author’s views and are usually written about or regarding a particular issue or trend. These articles can encompass societal matters, current affairs, legal and political news, cultural discussion, lifestyle trends, social media, and fashion-related information.

  • Fiction/Non-fiction stories:

Short fiction stories of different genres are welcome. Fiction stories can relate to the theme of the upcoming digital issue or can be unrelated to it. Nonfiction stories are also welcome.

Payment

Noisy Streetss Magazine pays $30 for Submissions less than 1500 words, and $40 for 1500-2000 words.
