34 Orchard is Now Accepting Submissions/ How to Apply (Payment: $50)

A magazine that likes “dark, intense pieces that speak to a deeper truth”, 34 Orchard is now accepting poetry and short fiction submissions for their spring issue. The deadline for submission is January 31st, 2020.

Who is Eligible to Submit:

  • Anyone writing in English from anywhere in the world.

How to Submit:

  • Submit a short story of between 1000—7500 words.
  • Or poetry of any style or length.
  • Format your manuscript: Times New Roman, 12pt font, and double spaced.
  • Include a cover letter that contains your name and contact info, the title of the story or poem, word count, if it’s a simultaneous submission, and a third person bio of not more than 100 words.
  • Your email subject line should read: “Submission: ‘Story Title’, Last Name” or “Submission: ‘Poem Title’, Last Name”.
  • All submissions will be responded back to no later than February 28, 2020.
  • Submit to 34orchardjournal@gmail.com

Payment:

  • Pays $50 on signing of the contract, for accepted pieces.
