10 African writers you must read in 2017

Bahati Books teamed up with Pigeonhole to serialize a free anthology of the best new African writing today. The title of this anthology is Mother Never Sleeps. The two organizations have chosen ten short stories by writers from across the continent and beyond. With tales of broken marriages and blossoming romance, car chases and minibus rides, Catholic confessions and corrupt ministers, these daily digital doses of fiction will have readers glued to their screens and wanting more.

From 7 December, The Pigeonhole will be serializing Mother Never Sleeps in ten daily digital installments delivered straight readers’ devices via the Pigeonhole iOS app, Android app or web reader. The unique serialized edition will include multimedia extras such as biographies, images, links and music as well as an in-text comments function that allows readers to discuss the book with each other and the authors within the digital margins of the book itself.
